About Lorrana
Regenerative entrepreneur and activist, Lorrana is the founder of Beliive, the world's largest time exchange community. Lorrana believes that her devotion to contemplative practices and artistic projects are the balancing sources of her creativity and embodied wisdom.
In recognition of her impact, MIT Technology Review Innovators under 35 chose her as one of the 10 most innovative Brazilians of 2014, BBC Global elected her as the 100 most inspiring women of 2015 on the 100 Women List and she was on the Forbes under 30 list in 2017. In January 2017 and 2018, Lorrana was a panellist at the World Economic Forum in Davos, sharing the stage with former US Vice President Al Gore, founder of Salesforce Marc Benioff, artist Will.i.am, CEO of Siemens Joe Kaeser, and CEO of Google Cloud Diane Green. In 2019 she moved to the United States after raising a 1M dollar round of investment from Salesforce Ventures for her first business, Beliive.
Along with a Bachelor's degree in Law and one in Public Relations, Lorrana studied human rights and political ideals in Portugal. After graduation, she studied Management at Stanford Business School, in Palo Alto, California. As part of many impact communities and entrepreneurial fellowships, Scarpioni is a Global Shaper and former Global Agenda Council in Creative Economy by the World Economic Forum.
Lorrana’s passion for nature and the collaborative economy grew out of her experience of working in social inclusion in Brazil and her deep connection with the oceans and forest ecosystems. Lorrana’s firm belief in our inherited human values gave her enough persistence and resilience to create solutions that express abundance and equality for the last 10 years of her life. Her commitment to sharing the wisdom gained from these experiences comes from the recognition of her privileges and the excitement for these transformational times humanity is going through.
